Originally from Toronto, Chantal has spent much of her life moving from coast to coast. This has influenced the designs she has created which are elegant and relaxed. Chantal has built an excellent rapport with clients and enjoys the collaborative design process while articulating their vision and dreams.
Chantal holds a BFA in Interior Architecture and Design from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco as well as a BFA in Theatre Studies from Niagara University in New York. She began her design career with a residential design firm in San Francisco, then moved back to New York where she worked for a high-end design firm. After that Chantal joined luxury brand, RH. While at RH in New York she worked with celebrity clients and then transferred to RH in Northern California and continued to work with celebrity and VIP clients. After almost eight years studying and practicing the RH Design Ethos she was prompted to explore the design world and venture out on her own creating Chantal Martin Design.
A full service design studio, CMD collaborates with clients to understand their needs, hopes and vision for their space. CMD will create floor plans and drawings to articulate design concept and selections. CMD will source finishes, furniture and fixtures as well as manage and coordinate your installation. From selection to delivery CMD will be there every step of the way.
